The American Picnic for family readiness is a celebration of all great things 
American. Great music, great food, and great fun. This is a day-long event at 
the local Blue & Gray Brewing Co., with numerous food vendors selling a variety 
of fare unique and well-known to their state (i.e. Virginia BBQ & 
peanuts). Make plans now to join us for family friendly fun.

Music from Fredericksburg native Wil Gravatt and the Wil Gravatt Band 
highlights a full day of American born music traditions. Also, traditional American folk 
singer Chris Adams. The fun begins at 11am 
with members of the James Monroe Jazz Band at the entrance to the event 
(Invited).

A portion of the admission fee will benefit the local VA National Guard (Delta 
Company 3-116th, 29th Light Infantry Division) and Quantico Wounded Marine Program ($5, $3 
military, Children 12 and under are free). The FRG's are an all volunteer 
network and are organized to support the spouses and family's here in the 
Fredericksburg area while their loved one is deployed overseas. FRG's do not 
receive government funds. FRG's commonly arrange for going away and homecoming 
celebrations. They are also a resource for special needs such as periodic baby 
sitting or short term financial assistance.

Fun for all ages. The entry fee not only supports FRG's, it gives access to 
premier entertainment and access to great American fare, but great American fun 
too! Attendees bring their favorite beach chair, pail and shovel for the 
world's biggest sandbox. There will be $1.00 Moonbounce rides as well. Don't

Cherry? Two age groups 0-21, 21 and up(heavyweights). Winners get 
great prizes $$.
